Terminal services add printer driver




















That is all fine but she needs to be able to print at home. I need to install a printer that she would hook up to her laptop and print to while she is logged onto the server. Please help!!! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I actually have run into this issue before. I never had any luck getting that model to print over RDP. If she still needs to use terminal services to run applications, enable network sharing on her printer and install it as a network printer on the server.

She should be able to print while using RDP. It's a little redundant I suppose, but it should work. There is of course the issue of giving her possibly malware infected computer access to your network. That should work fine.

She should be able to print like normal while remoted in. You have to make sure that the driver that is installed on the local laptop ie. If the TS does not have the same driver it will not map. Somtimes if its an HP especially I find it easier to downgrade the printer driver on the client machine to something like an HPIII that way you will have the driver you need.
